What determines the place a intercourse offender lives after launch?

CLEAR WATER (WQOW) – After we reported that a sex offender was about to be released in Eau Claire, many of you asked us why here?

Demetrius Simmons, 47, will be released from prison on March 30th and live on the 100 block on Randall Street in Eau Claire despite having committed crimes in several states.

According to Wisconsin Justice Department officials, upon release from a Wisconsin prison, individuals will have to return to the county of conviction.

They added that the person will identify their desired residence before being released. Then a probation officer or probation officer will conduct an assessment to ensure that the residence is appropriate (violating local residency regulations, proximity to victims, etc.).

If a place of residence cannot be identified, an attempt will be made to find temporary accommodation.
