Three policemen a part of UP Dy CM’s safety injured as truck hits escort automobile

Pratapgarh (UP), May 1 (PTI) Three police officers were injured on Saturday when a truck hit an escort vehicle that was part of the convoy of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Prime Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, in the Hathigaya region.

Police superintendent Akash Tomar said some of the escort vehicles in the deputy prime minister’s convoy were driving from Lucknow to Allahabad.

In the village of Khidirpur on the Lucknow-Allahabad national road, a truck hit one of the vehicles and injured police chief Pankaj Tripathi, police officers Rajesh Bahadur Singh and Naresh Kumar. They have been admitted to the Kunda community health center, he added.

Maurya wasn’t part of the convoy, police said.

The truck was confiscated while its driver is escaping, they said. PTI Corr NAV AQS AQS
