Stormy Daniels: Fox Information Bombshell film introduced again reminiscence of intercourse with Trump | US information
Stormy Daniels said she couldn’t remember important details of the sexual connection she allegedly had with Donald Trump until a film about Roger Ailes’ sexual harassment on women on Fox News made her remember.
“I was watching this Bombshell movie,” she said, “and suddenly it just came back.”
Daniels, an adult movie star and director whose maiden name is Stephanie Clifford, spoke to Michael Cohen on Audio Up Media’s former Trump attorney Mea Culpa podcast. Excerpts have been shared with the Guardian.
Daniels also described Trump “doing his best but leaving a terribly disturbing impression of Burt Reynolds” on a bed dressed only in underwear.
Daniels claims he had a sexual association with Trump in 2006 in Nevada. He denies this, but a $ 130,000 hush-money payment to Daniels made by Cohen and reimbursed by Trump contributed to Cohen’s fall in 2018.
Trump’s longtime fixer has been jailed for tax fraud, congressional lies and violations of campaign finance law. He worked with investigators while the 45th president was still in office and published a book, Disloyal, while completing a three-year prison sentence at home in New York.
Paying to Daniel and Cohen’s role in making a payment to another woman who claimed an affair with Trump, Playboy model Karen McDougal, during the 2016 election is at the heart of the ongoing investigation. Trump has been deprived of the protection of his office after his election defeat in 2020 and can now be prosecuted.
Daniels’ appearance on Cohen’s podcast marks a dramatic rapprochement between the two. After Cohen orchestrated Trump’s attempts to keep Daniels calm about their alleged connection, Daniels had harsh words for Cohen in her own book, Full Disclosure.
Daniels called Cohen a “dark lightbulb” and “a bloody idiot”. She also explained what she believed posed a threat to her safety and that of her daughter, who allegedly came from Trump.
When Cohen faced jail time in New York City in 2018, she said, “The wise men were wrong that story died. Maybe they should have asked a wise woman. It never occurred to any of these men that one day I would have a voice. “
Cohen is now a vocal critic of his old boss. Daniels has remained a thorn in the side of Trump. She and Cohen seem to have realized that their enemy’s enemy is their friend.
The details of Daniels’ alleged connection with Trump at a 2006 Lake Tahoe charity golf event are known, thanks in no small part to her book, first reported in the Guardian.
“I couldn’t remember,” she said to Cohen, “how I got from standing in that bathroom door to under him on the bed, like I couldn’t remember how my dress was taken off or how my shoes were taken off because I know I took my shoes off because I remember vividly putting them back on, and they were buckled up like they were really gold strappy heels that weren’t easy to take off.
“And I only have 60 seconds when I just couldn’t remember it and it’s not in the book, and nobody really wanted to ask about it. They just wanted to know what its attachment or the lack of an attachment looked like. And I thought it really bothered me for years, I definitely didn’t drink so I guess why don’t I remember it?
“And I will never forget this moment. I was watching this movie Bombshell and all of a sudden it just came back. “
Bombshell was directed by Jay Roach with Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie and released in 2019. It told the story of the fall of Roger Ailes, the executive director of Fox News and a key ally of Trump, for sexual harassment.
Trump has been accused of sexual harassment and assault by several women. He denies all such claims. Right before the 2016 election, Fox News killed a story about Trump and Daniels. Ailes resigned in July that year and died the following May.
Daniels said to Cohen that she now remembered thinking, “Oh damn, how did I get into this situation? And I remember thinking that I could definitely fight his fat ass, I can definitely overtake him. There’s a bodyguard at the door. But I was not threatened, I was not physically threatened.
“And then I tried to get out of the way … I tried to really quickly remember where I left my purse, like I had to get out of here. And I went to the side and he got up from the bed and said, “This is your chance.” And I said “what?” and he said: “You have to show me how much you want it or do you just want to go back to the trailer park.”
Daniels said Trump told her he would get her a spot on The Apprentice, the reality TV show he was most famous for at the time. At the time of the alleged encounter, Trump’s third wife, Melania Trump, had recently given birth to their son Barron.
Daniels told Cohen she went to the bathroom and “was really scared to see him waiting” when she came out.
“I was just freezing,” she said, “and I didn’t know what to say. He had stripped down to his underwear and was sitting on the bed, making his best, but terribly disturbing, impression of Burt Reynolds. “
Daniels previously described what happened next. In an interview with CBS 60 Minutes in March 2018, she said, “And I said, ‘Ugh, let’s go. ‘And I just had a feeling that maybe it was kind of … I was about to make a bad decision to go to someone’s room alone, and I just heard the voice in my head, “Well, you’ve got yourself into a Brought bad situation and bad things happen so you deserve this. ‘”
Interviewer Anderson Cooper said, “And you had sex with him.”
“Yes,” said Daniels.
