AVON, Ohio (WJW) – A 1979 Piper 28 single-engine airplane that crashed in a grain field in Avon on Saturday was picked up on Tuesday.
The engine stopped and the flight instructor and licensed pilot slid the plane into the field.
It had been routed from Lorain County Airport to Burke Lakefront Airport.
Nobody was hurt.
The plane flies to Lorain County Airport on Tuesday, but this time by truck.

There will be rolling road closures on the way back to Lorain Airport.
