“Serial sexual offender” indicted in three extra felony intercourse crimes relationship again to 2016 in Asheville, says police | Information

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) – On Tuesday, Asheville Police Department announced that a serial sex offender was charged with three more sex crimes dating back to 2016.

According to Asheville PD, Michael Eugene Greenarch, Jr., 45, was charged on May 3 on two charges of first degree rape and one charge of violent first degree sex offense.

According to police, on January 22, 2021, Greenarch was charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting two women in the River Arts District on January 20.

In addition, police said information discovered during the investigation resulted in Greenarch also being charged with a violent sexual offense that occurred in September 2017.

According to Asheville PD, Greenarch was charged on Jan. 22 on the following charges:

  • 2 cases of first degree kidnapping
  • Forced sex offense, first degree
  • Attempted first degree violent sexual offense
  • Second degree coercive crime
  • 2 counts of criminal restraint
  • 2 cases of non-payment of child benefit

Greenarch has been a registered sex offender since 2000. His criminal history includes convictions for indecent freedoms with a child in 2000 and indecent exposure in 2005.
