The Mackinac Bridge Authority says all high profile vehicles will need an escort across the Mackinac Bridge due to high winds in the road.
High profile vehicles include pickups with RVs, cars with boats or luggage, U-haul trucks, tractor units with closed trailers, and any trailer with sidewall over two feet in height.
The Mackinac Bridge Authority requests that you reduce your speed to 20 mph and be ready to stop.
They also ask that you wear a mask and have payment ready.
More information can be found here.
Strong winds (35-49mph) on the #MackinacBridge require escorts for high-profile vehicles. Slowly approach the bridge at up to 32 km / h and prepare for the stop. The bridge personnel stationed at both ends of the bridge will give instructions on how and when to proceed. https://t.co/Fu10ADo8Xl
