Police: 22 ‘Johns’ cited for getting intercourse following sting operation at Prepare dinner County resort

COOK COUNTY, IL. – Authorities quoted 22 men after agreeing to exchange money for sex in a stab operation, police said.

Cook County Special Victims Unit officials organized the operation Wednesday at a hotel in Northwest Cook County.

An officer posed as a person selling sex and when they agreed to buy something, the “Johns” were taken into custody, police said.

A total of 22 men were listed and 19 vehicles were towed away.

“Sex trafficking is not a victimless crime,” said Sheriff Dart. “Many victims – especially women – suffer violence and abuse, and my office is committed to providing them with the help they need and making it very costly for those who want to buy sex.”
