New intercourse assault costs filed in opposition to former McFarland trainer in case involving former scholar | Crime
The complaint said police learned in April 2019 that there may be an inappropriate relationship between Meeks, a teacher at Waubesa Intermediate School in McFarland, and a former student. However, after an investigation, the police were unable to determine that criminal activity had taken place.
Then, in August, an officer received two text messages from the boy’s mother saying that her son had “disclosed some things that I need to report,” the criminal complaint said.

Much of the information from the older complaint is included as background information in the complaint filed on Wednesday. This also includes the boy’s claim that Meeks and his roommate Christopher M. Johll (39) sexually assaulted the boy in Meek’s bedroom. He announced that on March 3 in Safe Harbor, according to the complaint.
Johll, who was arrested on Monday, appeared in court on Wednesday, where he was detained on $ 10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 19.
Meeks has been free for a signature loan since 2019. He waived a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty and there has been little activity on the case since then. The COVID-19 pandemic has kept Dane County courts from holding trials against jurors.
School district administrator Andrew Briddell said Wednesday Meeks resigned on September 20, 2019.
