N.J. man needed on baby intercourse assault cost is arrested after fleeing to N.Y., officers say

A 37-year-old New Jersey man wanted for sexually assaulting a child was caught in New York last week.

Jorge Mora, from Hackensack, was arrested by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office after being contacted by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, from which he may have escaped.

The sheriff’s officers put up surveillance and took Mora into custody.

Mora has been charged with serious sexual assault on a child under 13 and other offenses. He was transferred to the Special Victims Unit of the Bergen District Attorney’s Office.

A spokesman for the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office could not be immediately reached for additional information.
