Some roads in the region are being repaired this week.
Starting Tuesday, March 23rd, drivers will be informed of the changed traffic conditions on the Mitchell Highway and the Escort Way for road maintenance.
The works will include road surface removal and replacement and will be carried out between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. to reduce the impact on motorists.
- Mitchell Highway: 920 yards between Lone Pine Avenue and Elizabeth Street
- The Escort Way: 650 meters west of Mitchell Highway west of Seven Drive
- Mitchell Highway: 180 meters north of the Royle Drive intersection
The work is expected to be completed in nine nights, weather permitting.
Property access will be maintained during business hours, but parking will not be available on Mitchell Highway.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions given by the signs and traffic control.

Road closures caused by the pouring rain continue to wreak havoc for motorists traveling to and from the Central West. The main highways are still so badly affected that the region is cut off from the east coast.
Roads and highways were still affected by the huge weather event that caused flash floods across the state as the water from the Macquarie River overflowed.
