Man who ‘ran faux escort company’ seems in courtroom charged with rape of 15 ladies

A man who allegedly ran a “fake escort agency” appeared in court for raping 15 different women.

38-year-old Nurazzaman Shahin allegedly sexually assaulted and raped the women over a period of nearly six years from March 2014 to February 2020.

He appeared in Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (April 22nd) and was charged with 15 rape, nine penetration assault, seven sexual assault cases and five profit control prostitution cases.

Shahin of North Villas, Camden appeared in court wearing mandatory face covering, blue fleece and gray sweatpants. He only asked to confirm his name, date of birth and address when asked. He also used a crutch to get into the dock.

The judges heard brief details of the alleged crimes, including the rape charge of 15 different victims, before remanding Shahin for insufficient powers to handle the case.

Shahin will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on May 12th.

At this hearing, he will be charged before a preliminary trial date can be set.
