Louisiana police lieutenant accused of soliciting intercourse from girl concerned in crash

FRANKLIN PARISH, La. (KLFY) – Louisiana State Police say a Winnsboro Police lieutenant has been arrested for bribery and one-time abuse of office.

According to the LSP, the investigation was opened based on a complaint received by a driver involved in a two-vehicle accident that was being investigated by 47-year-old Terrance Pleasant.

The driver, who was not at fault in the accident, asked Pleasant police to solicit sexual favors and money in order to produce a favorable report for driver insurance.

According to the LSP, the investigators were able to confirm the allegations.

As a result of the investigation, Pleasant was indicted by a grand jury on Monday April 19th.

He was admitted to Franklin Parish Jail without incident and the investigation is still ongoing, police said.
