WARREN – A former Liberty woman who was charged with sexual charges against a 3-year-old in March 2020 was brought back to Trumbull County from a federal prison in Arizona for prosecution in Case of the Year.
Candis Wynn, 34, formerly Lucretia Drive, Liberty, was admitted to Trumbull County Jail last week. She is slated to stand in Trumbull County’s Court of Justice Ronald J. Rice on Thursday for a final hearing on a range of charges, including three rape cases with possible life sentences, one gross sexual imposition case and six cases sexually oriented issue with minors, four cases of profanity with minors, and four cases of illegal use by minors in nude material or performance.
Assistant Attorney Gabriel Wildman said his office had been working with federal officials for months to bring Wynn back to local charges. Court records show she was charged on video on April 30, 2020 when she connected with Rice’s court and federal prison. However, the log shows that no further action has been taken since local court officials filed document by document to bring Wynn back to Ohio.
