Intercourse scandal: Karnataka govt not in favour of anybody, says Bommai

In light of the woman allegedly featured in a “sex tape” allegedly involving BJP MLA and former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, who accused the Karnataka government of being biased, Interior Minister Basavaraj Bommai said Tuesday , the government works for truth. Speaking to reporters, Bommai said, “We are only for the truth. We are not for anyone else.

Whatever is legal must be followed. This is the instruction I gave to the Special Investigation Team (SIT). ”

In response to a question the High Court asked for details of the development, Bommai said all procedures will be followed.

  • When asked what charges the woman had brought that the government was “protecting” Jarkiholi, the minister said SIT would answer these points.

Jarkiholi, the strong man from Belagavi, was forced to resign as minister a month ago on sex-for-job allegations, followed by a bad video that went viral on social media.

While Jarkiholi has filed a threat and extortion complaint against unknown people, the woman allegedly shown in the video filed a rape complaint on the pretext of giving her a government job.

Two days ago, in her letter to the police, the woman alleged that she had been barbecued three times while the defendant was only questioned once.

Jarkiholi was supposed to appear in front of the police on Monday, but citing a COVID infection, he did not show up.
