Horry County Police Dept. invitations group to line escort route for fallen officer LCpl Gore

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – Community members are invited to line the escort route to pay their respects to fallen officer Lance Corporal Melton “Fox” Gore.

The Horry County Police Department will team up with public safety partners on Sunday to bring LCpl Gore to the MUSC in Charleston for an autopsy.

The escort group will depart immediately from the ML Brown Public Safety Building at 2560 N. Main Street, Conway, SC 29526, at 7:00 a.m. If you participate, please do so safely and responsibly – stay away from the streets and be mindful of your surroundings and wear a mask if necessary.

LCpl. Gore was hit by a vehicle and killed while clearing debris in an accident near Highway 22. Gore served with the Horry County Police Department for more than 20 years.
