Gunmen kill two Delta Princes, policemen escorts

Armed men killed two sons of the Ovie (king) of the Orhumwhorun community in the Udu region, HRH, Ighohwo Takerere, Okaka II.

Two police officers in their vehicles were shot dead during the Saturday afternoon attack in Effurun, Uvwie LGA.

The princes were shot dead in their two newly acquired exotic SUVs – Range Rover and Mercedes Benz GLK (EPE 289 FB).

The police are said to have been in the passenger seats of the cars when they were shot.

Another young man, whose identity was not immediately known, was also killed.

The cars were splattered with victims’ blood, but eyewitnesses said nothing had been stolen from them, leading to speculation that the killings were cult or failed deals.

Her gruesome murder sparked wild protests, looting and destruction in the Usiefurun area of ​​Orhumworun on Saturday evening.

A report that someone was killed in the chaos could not be independently confirmed.

No fewer than three cars were damaged and looted by recalcitrant youth in the region who allegedly protested the death of the princes.
