However, Escort’s tractor exports fell to 540 units last month, compared to 552 units in February last year.New Delhi: Agricultural machinery maker Escorts Agri Machinery reported a 32.8% increase in domestic tractor sales to 10,690 units in February on Monday, driven by robust consecutive earnings rounds that boosted cash flow in the rural economy.
The company sold 8,049 units in February 2020.
Total tractor sales last month were 11,230 units compared to 8,601 units in February 2020, an increase of 30.6%, said Escorts in a registration application.
“Demand for tractors is expected to remain strong due to positive macroeconomic factors and strong rural cash flows,” said Escorts.
The supply-side situation is normal, but rising inflation remains a concern, the company said.
