EastEnders followers confused by blunder as Stacey WALKS into jail with no police escort in cleaning soap exit
While Eastender’s fans were emotional at Stacey Slater’s exit, they couldn’t help but notice something strange.
In the Thursday episode, the cleaning lady played by Lacey Turner was jailed after Ruby Allen falsely accused her of knocking her down the stairs and causing her miscarriage on the BBC One soap.
Eastenders ended in heartbreak tonight when Stacey Slater went to jail
Stacey was sentenced to one year in prison but would only serve six months if she vomited.
Viewers got very emotional when it was time for Stacey to say goodbye to her kids.
Her mother Jean said to her, “I just thought you were amazing.
“You haven’t had the best example of a mother. My greatest gift to you was bipolar, and yet here you are – the best mother these children could ask for.
But fans couldn’t understand why she would go to her hearing without a police escort
Viewers called out the bug on Twitter
“You’re only human, but you’re still trying. You still stay in there and move on for her. “
“I’m so scared to say goodbye,” Stacey admitted.
Jean replied, “I know it’s the worst – to go. So we’re going to make it easy for the children today, like, without fuss, without big dramas.
“You just go on your way. I know I wasn’t much of a cop when you were little, but you can count on me when you’re gone. I will take care of your children, I promise. “

But under her tears, EastEnders fans found it a bit strange that Stacey went to her verdict and without a police escort.
“You can’t just go to jail, what about the court cases and such,” wrote a Twitter user.
Another added, “Why does Stacey walk? She walks all the way to the court / jail?”
And a third said, “No police to take you away. Stacey might as well have gone to Chippie’s as Duff Duff.”

Lacey made her comeback at EastEnders in September 2020, but later announced that she was pregnant with her second child and would be taking maternity leave.
Talk to OK! At the time, Lacey said, “We feel so happy to be expecting our second baby because it took us so long to have Dusty.”
