‘Bridgerton,’ ‘Intercourse and the Metropolis’ Get New Theme Songs on ‘SNL’: Watch

SNL also took on the highly anticipated upcoming Sex and the City revival, which will not feature original actor Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones. Chloe Fineman, as the sex-loving Samantha, sulkily asked if she wanted to leave out the fans’ favorite character in the reinterpreted theme: “Sex and the city without Samantha / Doesn’t that sound funny? / It’s sex and the city without sex / Hope you enjoy the city. “

In a newly interpreted title song, presenter John Krasinski made fun of what else? His longtime NBC sitcom The Office. The actor sang the “long-lost lyrics … which he himself wrote” over the original melody. It contained inspired lines like “Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton / This is where we all live and work” and “There’s Dwight / He’s the bad guy / And the hero’s name is Jim.”

Kyle Mooney’s baby Yoda also appeared to be rapping briefly for The Mandalorian, while Alex Moffett offered Kelsey Grammer’s Frasier some updated lyrics.
