Bladensburg Police Officer Charged For Assault, Intercourse Offense In Baltimore County – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD. (WJZ) – A Bladensburg police officer is charged with an attack that occurred in Baltimore County in early March.

The Baltimore County Police Department on Thursday arrested a suspended police officer in Bladensburg in connection with a third-degree sex offense, a minor sexual abuse, and a second-degree assault investigation.

LoQune Brown is an eight year veteran on their community action team.

Bladensburg Police announced when police were first informed of the allegation and their investigation by Baltimore County police on March 8, 2021.

Brown was put on administrative leave on March 9th. He is still in suspension until the outcome of the criminal proceedings.

The incident occurred while Brown was off duty outside of his jurisdiction and did not involve any residents of Bladensburg.

“However, given the sensitive nature of the allegation, our department has initiated a review of our urban youth development programs. We ask everyone who has concerns to contact the internal affairs department of the Bladensburg police immediately under the number 301-864-6080, ”said the Bladensburg police.

“The allegation is extremely worrying to our department and our community. We hold our officers to the highest standards of the law and this does not reflect the professionalism, dedication or commitment of the men and women of the Bladensburg Police Department and their service to our community. Please always talk to your children and encourage them to speak up if someone hurts them. We will stand up for them and seek justice, ”said Police Chief Tyrone Collington, Sr.

Your internal affairs department will conduct an administrative investigation after the criminal case is closed.
