HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Three people, including two residents of the Kingwood area, were arrested after a missing 15-year-old girl from the Houston area was discovered.
According to police officers, the teen was a victim of sex trafficking. It was found in the small town of Bunkie, Louisiana, southeast of Alexandria. Police said an officer from the Bunkie Police Department carried out a traffic obstruction when the teenager was found in the car.

Investigators said the teen was being sexually exploited and transported from the Houston area for human trafficking.
The investigation led to the arrests of Terry Williams, 24, and Infiniti Williams, 25, from Kingwood, and Areona Adroin, 21, from Alexandria.
The case has now added another casualty to a growing statistic in the state of Texas. Data shows that at least 79,000 minors are victims of sex trafficking. There are currently an estimated 313,000 human trafficking victims in Texas, according to rescue groups.
Studies also show that trafficking in minors and adolescents costs the state at least $ 6.6 billion a year. All three suspects were charged with trafficking in human beings and contributed to the crime of a juvenile.
